Our policy is to provide a respectable, responsible and safe place of work for all Iondale employees and all those affected by our operations. Throughout the Iondale Group of Companies, our staff’s welfare is of extreme importance to us. We will therefore continuously strive to:
· prevent unnecessary accidents from occurring by eliminating all reasonably foreseeable risks · provide a safe place of work and the necessary equipment for all our employees and other parties that enter our place of work. · comply with all Health and Safety legislation and regulation including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. · provide adequate training and supervision on all hazardous equipment, tasks and substances used within our place of work and provide awareness of whom to approach regarding Health and Safety issues and concerns · provide adequate control from the hazards arising from our work activities. · ensure all employees are fully trained and competent in their work activities. · communicate openly and actively encourage discussion on all issues relevant to this policy. · provide all staff with basic Health and Safety training, including where to find Health and Safety information and ensure that retraining takes place when needed. · ensure that responsible persons are appointed and trained as First Aiders and that all employees are made aware of the names and locations of these individuals. Relevant First Aid facilities will also be made available throughout all departments. · supply adequate equipment for the utilization of disabled employees and visitors to our premises. · monitor all work tasks regularly and efficiently. · review this policy at regular and appropriate intervals. At Iondale, we are individually and collectively committed to these principles and expect all who work with us to behave in accordance with them. We will actively promote these principles throughout the Iondale Group. We will therefore provide all our employees with relevant, ongoing training in order that they may efficiently and effectively:
· comply with all health and safety legislation and policies. · wear any personal protective equipment provided by Iondale Limited. · report accidents and incidents to delegated health and safety professional. · be responsible in their work activities and look out for themselves, their fellow employees, contractors and visitors. Risk Assessments are applied to all work activities that have the potential to cause harm and will continue to be: · undertaken by a competent person who has been formally trained in the duty of carrying out risk assessments. · reviewed on a regular basis and with findings being reported to the relevant Health and Safety Manager who will then take measures to remove or control the hazard.
